I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:

after I got better, I went through the letters I got and found one that had nothing but $20 and a note describing one of my posters. The con is next week and you're probably wondering what my plans are. Well guess what? I don't know either!

I had originally planned to premier BB Hood (Darkstalkers), gijinka Oddish (Pokemon) and Hit-Girl (Kick-Ass) but now I'm not so sure. I know I don't have time to finish BB or Oddish so I was hoping to at least bust out Hit-Girl but now I'm not so sure. I know if I work on it for the next few days I can get it done because that outfit is nothing like that hassle which was Rachel. But a huge part of me doesn't want to work on it. I'm really unmotivated for cosplay right now.

That being said, I may not cosplay at Fanime.

I have a shoot with ~Yukari-of-Konoha and will re-wear Rachel for that, even though I was unable revamp it and still HATE how it came out. I was also supposed to do Pokemon stuff with a few friends Saturday but I may not partake in that either, even though I have other gijinkas I can wear. I'm just not feeling it.

And though I say I don't want to cosplay, I know I'd feel a million times worse if I was that friend who held everyone's bags while they got their picture taken. Would you believe that I've never gone to a con without cosplaying? EVER? Yeah, it's going to be weird, probably really awkward and crappy too, but I just don't have the motivation to sit down and finish anything.

i'm sorry your feeling so down~ :C and i understand the whole not feeling motivated part! if there is anyhting i can do to help just say so~

i wish you would cosplay at Fanime though! your so adorable and i was really looking forward to taking your picture!

if you decide not to finish up all the new cosplays for fanime i suggest at least packing some older cosplays just in case while your at the con you start to feel it again and want to cosplay this way you'll have something to wear and regret nothing~

Im in the same position right now and am not sure what to do. I myself have never attended a con and not cosplayed but I havent even started two of the 4 costumes I wanted to do....feeling stressed out...If I dont finish I will just bring some old cosplays or maybe just one or two. Just do as much as you can and try not to stress out too much, or at least thats what Im going to try and do >.>;;

As others have said, it's no big deal just to wear old stuff. You have lots of cute costumes! It would be a shame not to bring some of them out for another wear.

I'm actually waiting for my big meal to settle down so I can attempt to get gijinka jigglypuff done for next week. I say wear older stuff if you don't feel comfortable not cosplaying at a con. I'll only have maybe 2 costumes for Fanime. I plan on video recording the big Elisabeth Takarazuka group for the most part. I won't be in cosplay for probably most of the con.
